It really all comes down to that in this game, keep it struggling along long enough to get electronics being produced (I need to buy an electronics factory as I don't have the tech) or the colony fails. I think I might be able to still salvage this game if I can scrape together enough to build a tunnel and move colonists/metals back. I've used up all my money buying electronics to fix broken stuff while trying to get a mine active. You should have enough surface metal (especially on high resource map) to last you for quiet a while, just collect it with transporter.Īs for scanning I did do that just must have gotten a bad staring location as theres not a lot of surface metal (I'm sending my transport across the map to mime it and there was almost nothing on my starting area). You can use rover or just rocket to control drones to avoid wasting drone hub prefab in the beginning. It may be a good idea to scan nearby sectors before choosing place for the first dome, and choose it near metals/rare metals. So I think maintenance could have a longer interval. I'm thinking you need to restart till you have one of everything close enough to be worked by one dome them expand from there.
